Quality Resources Manager


Aspirus Langlade Hospital is seeking an energetic, innovative change leader to join our
Leadership team and lead our Quality Resources Department.  Join a financially strong critical access hospital that is part of the Aspirus Health System.
This director-level position assists the Chief Medical Officer in the planning, implementation and ongoing coordination of the Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PI/PS) program at Aspirus Langlade Hospital.  Performs analysis of clinical, organizational and operational systems to identify areas in need of improvement, control or change.  Designs systems and processes to measure and/or increase quality and efficiency of existing services, to increase cost effectiveness and enhance customer service.  Provides education, consultation and facilitation to leaders, staff and hospital departments for measurement and improvement activities.  Supervises day-to-day operations of the functions of Social Work/Discharge Planning/Utilization Review, PI and Performance Measurement, Infection Prevention, and Civil Rights Compliance. Serves as a resource in education, training and compliance with the Joint Commission standards and other regulatory bodies.  Works collaboratively with Provider Support Services for an effective Medical Staff Peer Review program (FPPE and OPPE).  Collaborates activities on data management with Information Technology (IT), Health Information Management (HIM), Risk Management, and Infection Prevention, and works in partnership with LEAN Coordinator.  Reports to the Chief Medical Officer.
To qualify, applicants must be a registered nurse, licensed in the State of Wisconsin with BSN preferred; or Bachelorís or Masterís degree in a health related field.  Educational requirement may be waived in lieu of extensive quality management experience. CPHQ certification preferred.  Possess sound clinical knowledge of patient care standards, minimum of three years acute care nursing, or 2-3 years in a health care organization.  Advanced knowledge of team dynamics and process improvement application.  Demonstrated knowledge of the PI process, data analysis, clinical medical practice and hospital management necessary.  Lean or six sigma knowledge and application highly desirable.  Proven leadership and people management skills.  Experience in database management, case management and outcomes management beneficial.
